Henry Cole rides with a chapter of women bikers in Soweto, enjoys the beauty of sunrise in the Kalahari, switches bikes to a KTM 990 Adventure when the Kalahari’s unrelenting inhospitality challenges the Desert Racer beyond its endurance, sandboards on the dunes, marvels at the wildlife, kills another motorcycle, gets to Sutherland, rides through Matjiesfontein and arrives at Cape Agulhas, the most southerly point of Africa. From there he takes the beautiful road into Hermanus and finally Cape Town.

Homeland Season 4

Season four  of Homeland sees a fundamental shift in the series’ plot, with the protagonist, CIA Operations Officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) moving back to the Middle East to take up the rather dangerous position of station chief and continue her frenzied fight against terrorism. Episode 4 was filmed in Cape Town.

It focuses on the camaraderie between the soldiers, situational comedy, bureaucracy, conflicts of interests and relationships, contrasted with the deadly situations the soldiers have to defuse.

The Amazing Race (2002)

The Cape Town route for the race included Robben Island, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Kalk Bay Harbour, Langa and Stellenbosch. The Detour was Dance or Deliver. In Dance, teams had to put on a costume and sing and dance with a local troupe until they made R25 in tips. In Deliver, teams had to transfer 125 kg of fish from a boat to scales. For the Roadblock, one team member had to search through Langa buy Epsom salts and a sheep's head.
